Mexican Fiesta/WHSF

I really like the idea of analyzing the existing structure of an event to determine possible advancements or improvements. In slide 5, you give a list of events which aid in raising funds and then focus on the Mexican Fiesta - what percentage of funds are brought in by the other events relative to this one? Could you break down each event by what level of aid it brings in? Are there variables within the other events themselves which could be considered as well (size of venue, attendance, fixed costs to put the event on, marketing strategies, or activities which take place at each event)? By examining these variables, could you then assess what makes Mexican Fiesta a greater event for fund raising relative to the others? Are there ways then that you could implement some of these same systems into the other events to make them more successful?

Could you somehow visually diagram all sources of funding? from there create a hierarchy by something like line thickness showing how much funding is coming in from where. Diagram your own non-profit operations and other successful models. I've learned through my own volunteer work that people are willing to help and contribute, but you have to personally ask them, and usually more than once.

Its great how in depth your analysis of the current structure of the scholarship is set. I agree with Tyler, even quick sketches with simple lines and arrows showing where money and funding comes to and goes to could really emphasize a hierarchy of points made. Great work!

It would be nice to see your info graphically displayed in some other forms then P.P style. You begin showing some graphs you created.

Can you do some more or make data forms that could then be used as sculptures that could in turn be used to bring funds in for the festivities? A complete circle of analysis.

You have some really good analysis of events and structure. Some kind of graph would help. Another thing that I wonder about is some kind of yield. So maybe, doing research to find out what the winners of the scholarships are doing? or even just what they decided to do with their volunteer hours.

Its refreshing that you aren't afraid of text. Could you use a calender to begin to make the argument graphic? you could combine that with the fund raising information to make a surface.

So then is any child over the age of three charged the adult price? I am thinking that an increase in the age bracket of children to maybe 5-9 years of age may be more beneficial, in that it will attract more people with kids. possibly a medium range price for children 5-9. I think being a cultural project a collage would be beneficial.
